| Attonburn is a renowned stock rearing farm in the Cheviot Hills, farmed by
Charles and Mary Symons . Our aim is to produce top quality recorded breeding stock to the highest of welfare standards. The farm extends to 1521 acres rising from 480 feet to 1847 feet above sea level. The livestock business revolves around cattle and sheep.The cattle enterprise consists of 100 pedigree Luings. The main sheep enterprise is Lairg type NCC numbering 1120 ewes and 270 hoggs. 60 Suffolk ewes and 16 hoggs are also kept alongside an embryonic flock of Texels and 200 cross ewes to form a portfolio of quality breeding stock. We are regular showers of sheep at RHS and have had numerous championships, including winning the overall championship twice. |
